Applied Research Evaluation Seminar (how the city responded to COVID) abstract Course Description This course is designed to provide you with the practical tools to design and perform quality program evaluation for any organization. Among other topics, we will discuss evaluation planning, program theory, evaluation design, systems evaluation and various methods of data collection and analysis. Through lectures, discussions, workshops, and demonstrations you will discover, and learn how to address, the many challenges of conducting quality program evaluation. You may choose to work individually or in teams throughout the semester to develop a program evaluation proposal complete with a detailed evaluation strategy. You/team will develop fictional (but plausible) proposal to compete for a grant through a mock request for proposal (RFP) process.
